West Northamptonshire Strategic Plan Spatial Options Consultation

West Northamptonshire Council is preparing a new Strategic Plan for the area. This will replace the West Northamptonshire Joint Core Strategy and guide development in the period up to 2050.

The Spatial Options Consultation is the second stage in preparing the new Plan [after the Issues Consultation], no decisions have been made yet and the purpose of the consultation is to seek views on  a Vision, Spatial Objectives and Development Options at this stage.

We have produced a Spatial Options Consultation document which includes a series of questions on which we would like your views. You can view and download the document from the list of consultation documents at the bottom of this page. Please read the document and answer the questions using the online form. 

We have provided further clarification on the status of land to the south of Market Harborough, which is referred to in the consultation document, but is not proposed as a potential spatial option. Please see the letter sent to East Farndon Parish Council which is available on the list of supporting documents at the bottom of this page.

Call for Sites

There is also an additional opportunity to put forward ideas for potential development sites through a further ‘call for sites’ exercise. If you have any suggestions for potential locations for new development then please submit these using the online form
